Unconstitutional?

DID YOU KNOW?
As you walk up the steps to the
building which houses the U.S Supreme Court
you can see near the top of the building a row
of the world's law givers and each one is
facing one in the middle who is facing forward
with a full frontal view .. it is Moses and he
is holding the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the
Two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments
Engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see
The wall, right above where the Supreme Court
judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
There are Bible verses etched in stone all
over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in
Washington , D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?
James Madison, the fourth president, known as
'The Father of Our Constitution' made the
following statement:
' We have staked the whole of all our political
institutions upon the capacity of mankind for
self-government, upon the capacity of each and
all of us to govern ourselves, to control
ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to
the Ten Commandments of God.'

DID YOU KNOW?
Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding
Father of our country said:
'It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too
often that this great nation was founded not
by religionists but by Christians, not on
religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ'.

DID YOU KNOW?
Every session of Congress begins with a prayer
by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid
by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?
Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the
Constitution were members of the established
orthodox churches in the colonies.

DID YOU KNOW?
Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would
overstep their authority and instead of
interpreting the law would begin making law .
an oligarchy: the rule of few over many.

DID YOU KNOW?
The very first Supreme Court Justice, John
Jay, said:
'Americans should select and prefer Christians
as their rulers.'

How then, have we gotten to the point that
everything we have done for 220 years in this
country is now suddenly wrong and
unconstitutional?

Lets put it around the world and let the world
see and remember what this great country was
built on.

Amen! It is clear our nation was founded on Christian principles.

Yes, it most definitely was. However the ACLU and others are working very hard to destroy the Christian heritage of the United States. The ultimate result will be the defacing or destruction of some of our greatest monuments. I have been told, and I do not know where to verify it, that on the very top of the Washington Monument there is inscribed a copy of the Lord's Prayer.

Also, did you know that in the Supreme Court of the United States, each time a session is started it is said aloud, "God bless the United States and this honorable court"? I wonder why someone hasn't attacked that one?

RE: Unconstitutional?

Bro George,
This was sent to me by a Pastor in Missouri:

THE LAW IS THE LAW

So Be It

So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words
"under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.
And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.
And since they already have prohibited any prayer in the schools, on which
they deem their authority, then so be it. I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the American Publics' best interests at heart.

BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot Post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and it's employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter.
After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday,
Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter.

It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day
of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct".

In fact . . . I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day . . .

What do you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the majority of ALL of the American people.

So be it . . . . .Cool

RE: Unconstitutional?

I read some minutes of a baptist church from 1845, and Christmas and easter were not mentioned in them at all. Just one minute that said that a church meeting was held on 25th December.

From another Baptist church, I read copies of letters from and to the church dated 1845-1847. These included letters from visiting speakers. Although a number of the letters were dated about that time, again Christmas was not mentioned.

I heard on the radio that in much of New England, Christmas was not celebrated until the last part of the 19th century, it being considered a "Papish trivia".

American Civil Liberties Union. Their name certainly attempts to conceal their true motives. It would more accurately mean Attacking Christian Liberties Union. Laughing
