If You Died Today Are You Sure You Would Go To Heaven?

DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE IF YOU DIED TODAY THAT YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN?

YOU CAN BE SAVED AND KNOW IT!

1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

There Are Four Things You Should Know:

1. All Have Sinned. (You must first admit you are a sinner)

Ro 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Ro 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

You maybe asking what is a sinner? Here?s a list of the types of unsaved people that will be in Hell according to the word of God.

Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Note: This verse of Scripture included liars. I have a 4 year old daughter and I did not have to teach her how to lie. In God?s eyes a lie is just as bad as murder.

Now I bet your asking how did sin enter into the world? Sin entered into the world through Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Ge 3:1 ? Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 ? And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

2. The Penalty for Sin is Death & Hell. (Because of Adam and Eve's sin and ours there has to be a payment made.)

Ro 6:23a For the wages of sin is death;

Re 20:14a And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.

There are only two people who can pay for our sins. Either we have to pay for our sins or we can ask Jesus to come into our hearts and save us letting Him and Him alone pay for our sins.

3. Jesus Died to Pay for Our Sins. (This is the Good News!)

Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Did you see that "once for all" Once saved always saved!

I want to list quickly what will not get you to heaven:

A. Baptism: will not get you to heaven.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ac 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:

You see they gladly received his word first! Baptism is an act of obedience.

Baptism is to be by submersion in deep water not sprinkling.

Jesus said:
Joh 14:15 ? If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Getting baptized should be the first thing you do after getting saved! To show the LORD you love him!

B. Church Membership: will not get you to heaven.

Ro 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

C. Living a Good Life: will not get you to heaven.

Isa 64:6a ? But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;

D. Idol and Image Worship: will not get you to heaven. (This includes sodomite type pictures of Jesus which is not Jesus but another!)

Ex 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Ga 1:6 ? I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

E. Mary Worship: will not get you to heaven. (Jesus Christ Himself shot down Mary worship.)

Mt 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

F. Saint Worship: will not get you to heaven.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

4. Jesus Invites You to Be Saved Today!

Ro 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

2Co 6:2b (behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Trust Christ as your Saviour now ? Dear Lord, I confess I am a sinner and need to be saved. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay my sin penalty, and that He arose from the grave because of his power over death and hell. Forgive my sins, come into my heart and save my soul. Please take me to heaven when I die. Thank you LORD Jesus. Amen.

Please remember it is not a prayer that will save your soul it is receiving Jesus Christ as Saviour. He must be invited into your heart!

Re 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The Bible says that even the devils believe and tremble so it is not enough to believe you must receive Him.

Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
