It's my birthday!
This may be a little self serving but I just wanted to publicly state that today is my birthday. With God's blessings and protection I have hit the big Six-oh!
Today I am 60 years old! I wanted to publicly thank God for holding me up in the palm of His hand since I was saved at the age of eighteen years old! I wish I could publicly state also that I walked in step with Him all those years but it wasn't so. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving my soul! Thank you Father God for being the God of many second chances, and never giving up on me. Thank you Father for loving me when I wasn't always very loveable. Thank you Father for bringing me through four years in the Army and 19 months of those four years in Viet Nam! Even tough I tried to run and hide in many of those years, you always found me and brought me back to you. For this I give thanks. Thank you Father, for giving me a wonderful wife and a wonderful son and daughter! Forgive me Father and Lord Jesus for failing you in so many ways. Today on my 60th birthday I just wanted to state publicly that I owe everything to God! I am one of His Children and He is my God! I want to publicly state that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and without Him I am nothing. Thank you to the members of this forum for allowing me to say that! Forgive me brother Jim but I have no idea where I should have posted this! God Bless you all!

Thanks for that personal information. All this time I thought you were 45, but now I realize you were born in '45.

yep, the cat is outta the bag! (I'm an old guy!) I just wanted to publicly thank God for the years and Blessings, and the Salvation He has given me. I tell every one that my age and my IQ finally caught up with one another! Just remember though, young or old, we can look forward to that day when birthdays will not be so important anymore! Imagine the day when you can go tell Jesus "I'm 10,000 years old and I look forward to eternity with you Lord!" Time has no meaning in that wonderful paradise! Praise God! God Bless you brothers! God Bless you, as we walk in the life of a christian, I would rather my IQ go down and my WQ go up!! (Wisdom Quotient), which can can only happen to us who believe in the Lord with all our heart. Besides, if a person brags about having a high IQ, all they are bragging about is being worldly-smart, which I would rather not have!! O.K. let's have a contest!
Anyone who can find Jim's age wins the contest and the prize is that Jim has to write a Christian dissertation on any Christian subject that the winner desires, AND Jim has to post it somewhere on this site!
