The End?
My dear Christian Brothers and Sisters (if indeed there are any sisters left here), it is with a great deal of sadness that I tell you I believe the end of the forums of fundamentalpreaching.com is at hand.
Brother Raymond who actually founded the boards and does provide the space on the servers to allow them to exist has not had any participation on fundamentalpreaching.com in well over a year. In fact Brother Jim and I have both tried to contact him numerous times and have not heard from him (Raymond) in over a year. Brother Jim has determined to not participate on the forums any longer. I thought that the case and it was verified to me personally. That leaves me in the hierarchy of things. The difficulty with that is that there is no hierarchy. I have no power, authority or permissions to do anything at all other than remove individual offensive posts, send warnings to people and make corrections to obvious errors. I do not have the authority or permissions to ban anyone. I can not approve memberships. Basically I am a living and breathing title and no more. if you recall, last year we were viciously attacked by a pornographic spammer. I spent hours and hours on the keyboard deleting his filth one message at a time. I could not get ahead of him but I did not quit either. Because of my current health situation I can not be involved in something like that again. There is also supposed to be a mechanism in place where new members are approved before being allowed to post. However there is a great problem there. I have looked at the last couple of new members on the profile page. All we have been given is a screen name in those cases. None of the other information on the application is completed. Personally that is not acceptable to me. I would not allow someone to join without all of the information being completed. Because of all of this I do not think I can participate any longer as a moderator. That will leave no one to be in control of things and in that case the web site might just as well be taken down. If the administrator just happens to read this, and I doubt he will, and he decides to give me the permissions I need to effectively administer the site I may, just may continue. I will have to pray and consult my Pastor about my decision. I must admit that for the most part it has been fun and interesting while it has lasted. Unfortunately I believe it has "lasted" to its end. In Christ, George (Galatians 5:1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. |

RE: The End?
I am sorry to hear that, brother George,
I had noticed that Ray and Bro Jim have not posted for a while. We will miss you, however some of us post on http://www.onlinebaptist.com/home/ Perhaps we could meet you there. If not and the site is at and end, our thoughts and prayers are for you. David David Job 19:25 But as for me I know that my Redeemer liveth, And at last he will stand up upon the earth: |

RE: The End?
Wow, that is sad that someone would start this board and leave it that way, yet there might be a good reason, something bad could have happened.
I take it you have not the authority to block anyone from posting in any manner. If you did, that would work as good as banning someone. There has been many boards left in that condition, and it seems they quickly go to pot, especially Yahoo boards, and there has never been a way to recover one that I know of. Can you lock it down so that no one can post? Oh, you could start a new one.[/align] In His service, Jerry Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 "Jesus is our only hope!" |

RE: The End?
I understand either way it goes George. It has been a way to sharpen swords. I have thought something was wrong for a while. Whatever you do I am sure the LORD will be pleased...
