Are you saved?
The bible says work out your salvation with fear and trembling...
The question is are you saved, How do you know? Can it be put in a simple explanation that even a child understands? Are you saved when you say a prayer? Are you saved crying in front of the church? Are you saved when? The first thing that might help set our mind straight is we are not "saved" from hell, nor are we saved to get to heaven. Those are secondary benefits. We are saved from an eternal separation from our creator and that relationship is restored at salvation. This connects us to the author and source of life Our prayer is not what saves us, nor our worn out knees, nor our works. We are saved when the Holy Spirit works within us by the power of the Word of God and authority and work of Christ Jesus; and that which is cumulated, cultivated by God is found pleasing in His sight and chosen. What is pleasing to God? Hmm If a gardener wants to harvest flowers for the wedding of his only son and goes into his garden to pick them, how does he chose? He chooses those that are found pleasing in his sight. He has worked on all, but only those ready for the harvest that have bloomed as desired at the time desired get picked. How does God chose? He too chooses those pleasing in his sight. What is pleasing to God? A humble repentant sinner believing on the LORD Jesus Christ. Luke 15:10.. there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. It is God who is rejoicing to the marvel of all angels. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Do not believe your saved because of a prayer or church or anything emotional. Believe because the mighty power of God is now transforming your life and your resting on the promises of God's Holy Word. Amen John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. You know your saved by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit working in you. Has your life started to transform, do you have a growing desire for the things of God. Are old things passed away. Do you see the fruit of the spirit manifesting in your life? Do you have peace with and peace of God in your life? Isa 57: 15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones |
