No Plan B
The LORD woke me very early today with these thoughts of the day….
No plan B. Where are the ministers of God now days who have no plan B? The bible colleges are filled with future missionaries and pastors that are looking at career choices, they chose, instead of men called and chosen of God. Men with a burning in their bones. Paul had no plan B when he fell from his horse and said what wilt thou have me to do. When he went to Rome he knew it ment death, and yet he went. Peter had no plan B when the LORD asked “Will ye also go away?” Then Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” When you read of early churches, martyrs, missionaries and circuit preachers of old, they had no plan B. Our LORD Jesus had no plan B leading up to resurrection morning. “Well if this doesn’t work out to my liking I’ll just send the Angels to do it.” No, rather He prayed “not my will but thine be done”. He went to the agony of the cross following the will of the Heavenly Father unto death. I see precious few men (or women) willing to die for the sake of the gospel anymore, willing to live and pay the price found in Matthew 19:29. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. All the plan B men in the Bible have left tragic testimonies. Saul with the witch of Endor, Judas’ betrayal, Samson. Pulpits and Lecterns are filled with teachers, teaching itching ears. It is prolific in every denomination, christian school and college, from small church of 3, to stadium sized churches, most are teaching of, and serving the god of I, not the God of IAM. It’s true, unto the followers of Christ there can be no plan B. Faith- is the action demonstrating the convictions of the heart. Jesus said “No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” |

RE: No Plan B
Sometime back I recall telling our congregation that I have place all my eggs in one basket. Having done this I feel sure all those of the world will think I'm foolish, perhaps even some of you. But how can I place all my faith in God if I don't put all my eggs in one basket, God's calling?
No doubt, today there's many who have chosen the profession of pastor, probably not only having a plan b, but also perhaps a plan c, d, e, and some even more than that. Plus, I seen some men who have been ordained in Baptist Churches who think all churches are equal, that they all teach the same thing, and it makes no difference what church a person attends, the important thing is they attend church. Sad to say, the majority of churches do not teach people actually how to be saved. In His service, Jerry Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 "Jesus is our only hope!" |

RE: No Plan B
Quote:Lu 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. When I was at school, we had scripture lessons. That was in the days when they were allowed to teach scripture at school. I can remember one teacher reading that verse and saying that when you ploughed with a horse, you had to fix your eye on something at the far end of the furrow and keep your eye on it, if you didn't, your furrow would be all over the place. If you looked back, you would not plough a decent furrow. You had to keep your eye fixed on your goal. David Job 19:25 But as for me I know that my Redeemer liveth, And at last he will stand up upon the earth: |

I like plough better than plow... never caught that one before in the cut and paste of a computer bible.
Too long in snow "plow" country I suppose. Guess I need to go the the vision "centre" and get my eyes "analysed" for "colour" before I read up on the "Saviour" |

RE: No Plan B
"Plough" is the way the word is usually spelled in the UK and Australia. I believe that "plow" is just a simplified American version of the same word.
A few other examples of this kind of simplification are "ax" instead of "axe", "airplane" instead of "aeroplane", and "aluminum" instead of "aluminium". Occupy till I come (Luke 19:13b) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12) |
