Quote:Although Mr. Beck is misguided about his salvation, he does seem to have the right motivation.

That to me is an oxymoron. It is impossible for an unsaved person to have the right motivation. Without the working of the Holy Spirit in their lives they cannot achieve any kind of righteousness. Oh, they may appear at times to have the right motivation in some areas or maybe even the right motivation in a major area but without the Lord in their lives they will fall flat on their faces and all of their "good works" will come unraveled.

The question comes down to whether we support the man, the ideal, the issue or none of the above. All of the current "fair-haired boys" among the radio and TV talk show types have their problems. For me I try to compare the things they espouse to the standards set in the Bible. Whichever of them I believe is the closest to a Biblical standpoint I will support. Unfortunately the people like Mr. Beck and others are like the wind; they blow in and then they blow out leaving nothing lasting in their wake except perhaps for some damage.

In Christ,
George

(Galatians 5:1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

They only have a form of godliness, yet many follow them. I know of several local Christians who think Mr. Beck hung the moon. Yet the faith Mr. Beck claims to follow does not even recognize that the Savior, God's Son, is a deity.

They claim to worship the same Jesus as we do, yet if you examine their thoughts about Jesus, you will find out does not matches the Savior of the Bible.

In His service,
Jerry
