One thing for sure, God is in control of this world, and with this earthquake that hit Haiti, God allowed it to happen.

RE: Pat Roberson...right or wrong about Haiti?
If they are involved in Voo-Doo , it seems their voo-doo gods did not protect them from the earthquake, now did they? I think that God does not necessarily send an earthquake to destroy people, but you know sometimes, He knows an earthquake is coming and he does not warn anybody about it. If they had prayed to God the Father for His Divine Guidance and Protection they might have had a far different outcome - the earthquake may still have happened, but perhaps their buildings would not have toppled like they did. The Dominican Republic in on the SAME island as Haiti, and yet they did not suffer devestation. All through the Bible when the people have prayed to false gods, those gods could not save them from wreck and ruin - but when the people prayed to the One True God, He heard their prayers!

BTW, I was not the least bit surprised to hear that one of the first casualities was a Roman Catholic Archbishop. Most of the people in Haiti who practice vood-doo are also very devout Roman Catholics.
