There was also a news item which I heard on the radio and saw a glimpse of on Sky News of a man who confronted an intruder in his house and in a struggle, the man beat up the intruder, the house owner got 30 months in jail and the intruder, armed with a knife got off. I couldn't find the story on line, and only heard snatches each time but that is what I remember.

Scripture told us of things like this happening. It seems different from imagining it, to seeing it in reality, but here it is folks, reality, and it's only going to get worse.

This was on the news again this evenining.

It seems that three intruders tied up the family but the house owner and two others chased the intruders and caught one and the houseowner beat him with a cricket bat, causing him permanent brain damage.

The law says you can use "reasonable force" to defend your property, not to take retribution.

Right - if he'd been caught in certain parts of the States, they'd just dusted him! I've had several law enforcement officials tell people to just go ahead and cap him, we'll help ya drag him into the house!
