Paul's Imprisonment
I have always heard speculation that Paul may have been released from custody after the two years mentioned at the end of Acts.

We once had a pastor who spoke, as if it were a fact, that Paul was released from prison and went to Spain, amongst other places, before being arrested again.

Is there any evidence for that?

RE: Paul's Imprisonment
I'm not sure, one way or the other, on the number of imprisonments Paul endured. Some theologians think one, others think two. There seems to be good evidence on both sides. Is there something that hinges on a second imprisonment, or are you just curious?

Just curious. I have always thought that it was modernists who thought Paul was released and travelled around and the was arrested again, so when our old pastor said that Paul was released and went to Spain, I was surprised.

Recently I have read that William Hendrickson suggests Paul was released after 2 years and travelled to a number of places, including Asia Minor, Colosse, Ephesus, Philippi, Nicopolis wrote 1 Timothy and Titus, while he was free and wrote 2 Timothy after he was rearrested.

I don't usually watch Songs of Praise, but this evening I saw the last five minutes or so. A man on there said that Genesis was written 500 BC and was copied from Babylonian stories. He was supposed to be a Christian. No wonder unbelievers mock.

You're right! That old Babylon story has been going around for a long time. Just remember 1 Timothy 4:1

RE: Paul's Imprisonment
THIS is a conversation I would like to get into, very good information indeed. I had not really thought about that Davo. I too have heard information on both sides of that.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Crank up the discussion, Brother Jim!
