A staged hanging as part of an English class project?
I sure hope they eventually get around to teaching the children to read and write.

They teach people that we came from monkeys, and then they are surprised when people start acting like monkeys!

Lot of truth to the statement, "Monkey see, monkey do."

Back when I was in school we would do everything we could to get our teacher off subject of what ever class we were in. Seems now days many of the teachers stay off subject of teaching the 3 R's.

We had an English teacher that was very easy to get off subject, I recall many times as our class time expired her saying, "Oh no, we did not ever get started on todays lesson." We would just snicker and smile as we walked out of class.

Goodness! That is horrible. What ever happened to the 3 R's? A child is supposed to learn Reading, Writing, and Math... first. Anything beyond that? We are asking for trouble. Why am I not surprised?

If my husband and I had a young child? Homeschooling that child would be the answer!

With each new year home schooling is getting much more appealing for the Christians.

But truth be said I think the public schools has been the down fall for many Christian children for many years, I've grown to that conclusion over the past 5 to 9 or so years. What the problem is its happened so slowly that really its gone unnoticed.

But to now days the federal government has so much say so over the local school, they've slowly taken the power away from the states and local school boards. One thing we can be assure of, it will get much worse.

Like Jack Green, Oliver B. Green's brother tells me, "I'm not going to tell you that you didn't come from monkeys, you know your ancestors better than I do"

As for the class hanging incident, anyone ever hear of the old saying, "I smell a rat"? Something is too strange about this report. This may come as a shocker, but being that it came from Yahoo, and it was so short, I would have a tendency to NOT believe the story as it was given there.

If I were to guess, I would say that the noose itself alone was the demonstration and some idiot kid decided to be funny and get up there and goof off, and guess what? Those nooses actually work! Shocker!
