Hello!
Greetings in our Saviour's Name,
My name is Daniel, and I'm from rural South Australia. I am married with two young children, and we do our best to make our home a place where the Lord is served.(Joshua 24:15) I believe that it is important for Christians to have fellowship one with another, so that is why I have joined. Even though we may be geographically separated with vast distances between us, and even though we may never meet this side of Glory, there is a bond that exists between every true believer that no unsaved person can comprehend. The world can be a lonely place for a Christian, and it's always wonderful to meet more people who love God and worship him in Spirit and in truth.(John 4:24) I find it an exciting thought to think that the fellowship we have here as believers on this earth will one day be continued for eternity in Heaven! I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is in his blood and righteousness alone that I trust for salvation. I'm no theologian, but I read the Scriptures and try to grow in grace. I was raised in a Christian home by parents who explained the Gospel to me at a young age. By the grace of God, I came to understand my sinfulness in the sight of a holy and righteous God, and my need of salvation. I called on the Lord (Romans 10:13), and was saved. Later, I was baptised. Since then, I have had my spiritual ups and downs, but all the time I believe Christ has been drawing me ever closer to himself, and I know that he will never let me go. Praise God for his goodness and mercy to us all! Regards, Daniel. Occupy till I come (Luke 19:13b) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12) |

RE: Hello!
Pleased to meet you, Daniel.
I recently did some family research and found that two aunts of my grandfather emigrated to Australia and one became a baptist missionary from Queensland to India, now Bangla Desh, and was there for about 38 years. RE: Hello!
Welcome, Daniel. My SIL is an Australian citizen. She actually has a dual citizenship with Australia and the USA. It is beautiful country. My brother and his family have been there several times. My dad's family, also, owned land in Australia, years ago. They didn't know it -so, after 7 years... it went to the Crown in England. When some of them came from England, Scotland, and Ireland...they feel ill on the ship, and became sheep herders in Australia. I love looking at pictures of the beautiful - Southern Cross.
God bless, you and your family. May we all honour, praise, and glorify Our Savior - the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, fellowship with like-minded believers is so important. Revelation 22:5... And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever. "God Gives Light" King James Bible |

RE: Hello!
Thanks again!
Australia is indeed a beautiful place, and it's also a land of great contrast. There's deserts, rainforests, beaches, mountain ranges, rugged coastlines, and a plethora of unique and interesting wildlife. Visitors to Australia are often surprised by the sheer size of the place. In one way though, it is the same as anywhere else in the world; millions of people busily going about their everyday lives, living for the here and now, and giving little thought for the issues of eternity and the things of God. So, please continue to remember this nation in your prayers. Quote:Posted by Brother Tim - Thu Jan 29, 2009 03:18 PM"Daniel" means "God is my judge". I'll say one thing though, it is only by the blood of the Lord Jesus covering my sins that I am able to be judged by God and found righteous in his sight! It certainly isn't due to anything of worth in my own life. "Upholder" is only meant to mean that I want to be an upholder of the truth. After I put it in, I began wishing I'd chosen "Upheld", because that's probably a better description of me. Or just plain old "Daniel'. Anyhow, I suppose "upholder" is better than "downdropper" or something. I'm fairly busy with work and family so I don't know how often I'll get time to post. But I will try to make a contribution occasionally. Occupy till I come (Luke 19:13b) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12) |
