My weight
Well I started a diet for the fourth or fifith time. Please pray that I will stay motivated and keep off the weitht. Please also pray for my body. I have had several injuries over the years that whenever I think they are healed and trie to lift wieghts they seem to get reinjured even if I start out with light wieghts. Right now my left shoulder is hurting and all I used was a 10 pound weight. Pray also for my wife as we are i this together. God bless. Smile

RE: My weight
I certainly will. The biggest thing of course, is to watch what you eat, and how much you eat of it. Stay away from simple carbs like white bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, and sugar. Don't consume more calories than your natural body burns in an average day.

Don't worry about the weights right now, do a cardiovascular exercise for at least 20 minutes, and no longer than 45 minutes each day. A stationary bike is ideal, because it is low-impact. that will help with the weak joints, tendons, ligaments, etc.

We will be praying,

Love in Christ,

Jim

RE: My weight
You certainly have my prayers. Let me ask you, do you have a Reformers Unanimous chapter near you? The reason I ask is that one of the greatest successes we have had in RU is in the area of weight loss and eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. I have seen extremely heavy people lose incredible amounts of weight through RU. I had a student in my chapter that I could not figure out why she was there. One night during testimony time she told us that she had tried various kinds of weight loss programs including those branded as being Christian for many years. She had managed to get most of her weight off except for 5 pounds she was not happy with. She told us that only through the ministry of Reformers Unanimous was she not only able to get rid of those pounds but she has been able to maintain her goal weight which she had not been able to do previously.

If you are interested you can go to http://www.reformu.com. On the home page there is a link where you can find the locations of chapters.

I pray you find success in your endeavors.

In Christ,
George

(Galatians 5:1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Just kidding Bro. Jim. Of course, he is right and he has been an encouragement to me. Btw Jim, I did mention that matter to the doc yesterday.

God bless.
