Roman Catholicism
Here are some vidoes by Dr. Peter Ruckman telling about the Roman Catholic Church.

What Catholics Really Believe

What Every Catholic Needs to Know

Karl's Advice for Catholics

And here is an article I typed up on Catholicism....

Why Catholicism is Wrong

The Bread and Wine does not become Christ's Body and Blood

1 Corinthians 11:24
"And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me." KJV

Jesus said "this is my body", but he was not meaning the bread was literally His body. How do we know this? Because He called it bread three times after that.

1 Corinthians 11:26-28
26 "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup." KJV

Jesus called the wine "fruit of the vine". Catholics say it is Christ's blood, but Jesus told His disciples it was for remembrance of Him, not to offer His body again and again.

1 Corinthians 11:24-25
24 "And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me." KJV

Christ cannot be sacrificed again. This Catholic doctrine contradicts the Bible.

Hebrews 10:10-18
10 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin." KJV

The Bible teaches only to pray to God, not Saints.

1 Timothy 2:5
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" KJV

There is not one verse in the Bible that teaches us to pray to Saints.

Why not to pray to Mary

Jesus is the only mediator between God and men, not Mary.

1 Timothy 2:5
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" KJV

If Mary was sinless why did she offer a sacrifice for her purification?

Luke 2:22
"And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;" KJV

...and why did she call God "my Saviour"?

Luke 1:47
"And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." KJV

Mary was a virgin at Christ's birth, but notice in the below verse it says "her firstborn son".

Matthew 1:25
"And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." KJV

Mary had other children.

Matthew 13:55-56
55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?" KJV

Also, look at Matthew 12:46, Mark 3:31; 6:3, Luke 8:19, John 2:12.

These were not His spiritual brothers because they did not believe in Him until the resurrection.

John 7:5
"For neither did his brethren believe in him." KJV

The Bible makes clear between Jesus' physical and spiritual brothers.

John 2:12
"After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days." KJV

Purgatory?

Once again, there is not one single verse that teaches about a place called purgatory. When a person dies, they either go to Heaven or Hell. They are either cleansed by the Blood or on their way to an Eternal Hell. After someone gets saved all of their sins are forgiven, therefore why would there be a purgatory?

Hebrews 10:17
"And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." KJV

There are many other things that I could mention, but maybe this enough to show that Catholicism is against God's Word. If you're Catholic and you're reading this, please take the time to talk to someone on the forums. We do not hate you. We love you and we want to see you get saved. Focus all your attention on Jesus alone, not idols, not Saints and not Mary.

God Bless
