Bush to pressure Senate to revive U.N. sea treaty

President Bush has recently asked the Senate to revive a proposal to ratify the United Nations Law of the Sea Treaty. This is an agreement which was defeated by Republican leadership two years ago. The Treaty was first proposed about 25 years ago when then President Ronald Reagan shot it down. Two years ago it was revived under the sponsorship of Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind. Ratification of this treaty could spell the end of U.S. sovereignty when it comes to our dealings on international waters. It would even provide for a tax to be paid directly to the U.N. by those who would mine the world's oceans.

The U.N. International Seabed Authority would then be responsible for setting production controls for mining, drilling, & fishing. It would also regulate ocean exploration, issue permits, & settle any and all disputes having to do with the world's oceans. Those companies wishing to mine or fish in the oceans would have to apply for a permit and then be required to pay a royalty fee to the U.N.

Elisabeth Mann Borgese, one of the main authors of the treaty, was an open admirer of Karl Marx and an advocate for the Marxist-oriented New International Economic Order. She was also a large voice for the creation of a world government. She worked with others on a committee to fram a world constitution. Their whole intent in creating the International Seabed Authority was to use it as a testbed for a one-world government.

This is just one more step by the U.N. to establish what they call a New World Order. They want nothing more than for every country in the world to come under the jurisdiction with them calling all of the shots. Our national sovereignty and our freedoms as Americans would disappear if this were to happen. Countries would be forced to abandon what is best for their own people and lands in favor of what is best for those whom they may never have contact.

One day there will be a one-world government under the Antichrist when he comes into power. For the first 3 1/2 years everything will be wonderful. He will bring order to a world in chaos. All believers will have been raptured away to be with Christ in Heaven just prior to the Antichrist coming into power as the world leader.

As Christians we can find a measure of hope in everything that is going on with things moving to a one-world government, currency, & religion. All of this means that Christ's coming for His own can't be but a short time from now.
