Hi
Hi Smile

Thought I'd introduce myself here...

My name is Nigel. I was brought up in the Brethren denomination and stayed with it until my early 30's. I now attend an Elim Pentecostal church.

A cyber-friend recommended this site to me. I thought I'd join as some of my study for the time being will be on eschatology issues. I've found that the pre-tribulation rapture viewpoint a less common one, but have concerns at the way it is sometimes disparaged, something that makes discussion unnecessarily contentious.

Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm not Russian Laughing . My ID is the surname of one of my favourite ice skaters of recent years, Alexei Yagudin.

Welcome aboard. I pray your stay will be edifying and mostly glorious to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I am one of those who holds the "less common" viewpoint of pre-millennial pre-tribulational rapture.

Until recently, I simply did not realize that seems more and more to be a minorty view, but that is ok, until someone can give me any strong evidence to the contrary, I have no intention changing my position on it.

Anyhow, that is beside the point, and certainly not worth arguing over.

Love in Christ,

Jim

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Welcome also, Brother!

If your are looking for a place where there is lively discussion, you have certainly found one. I don't know how much eschatology you might learn, but you will definitely learn how to express and be examined about your own ideas.

By the way, I'm in Florida, and I am looked at by my Baptist brethren as some kind of freak when I say I am not sold out on the pre-trib theory. There are just not enough answers to my questions. Maybe you can answer a few. But this is for another thread.

Again, welcome and hope to get to know you.

In the Service of the KING,
Brother Tim Keyes (Proverbs 3:5-6)

When I fully rely upon God, I find that He is fully reliable.
