Abortion-Okay or horribly wrong?
A few weeks ago my youth group was working through our books and the question came up is abortion right or wrong. We split off into groups to discuss and we got that particular question. We probably argued for an hour. What if a girl is raped or what if there is incest in the home? We decided that it is wrong because God has a purpose for every unborn baby. He had a purpose for you before your parents even ever met! Just think... if we go on killing all these millions of babies in America, we could have just killed our next president, our next missionary, or possibly our next pastor. God said that he knew David before he was ever born. So I leave the question with you now.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2nd Timothy 1:7 -Hailey |

This should not even be discussed. Anyone who even remotely believes that ANY possibility of abortion is OK, is ANATHEMA.
God help any man, especially any christian that believes any form of abortion is OK!!!!!! In Christ, Jim Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |

RE: Abortion-Okay or horribly wrong?
It's not a popular opinion, but I believe abortion is wrong in EVERY case, even in "hard" cases such as rape.
The baby did not choose who his parents were, and destroying a second life will do nothing t bring about healing to the victim. |

RE: Abortion-Okay or horribly wrong?
Psalm 139 describes the Lord forming us in our mother's womb. Abortion is without a doubt murder and horribly wrong. Each life God forms in the womb has a purpose.
A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell. - C. S. Lewis |

RE: Abortion-Okay or horribly wrong?
there is scripture about harming the fruit of the womb. It is God that fills the womb and only god can take it away.

RE: Abortion-Okay or horribly wrong?
To "abort" something means to end something.
In the case of abortion, it is the ending (killing) of an unborn human life. "...Behold, a virgin shall conceive..." (from Isaiah 7:14) "Behold, a virgin shall be with child..." (from Matthew 1:23, quoting from Isaiah) When conception occurs, a child is brought into existence. To abort that little unborn life is to murder a child. People who defend abortion often claim that they are defending the rights of women, yet in so doing they deny the most basic right of life to millions of unborn women (and men). Abortion is murder indeed. And because an embryo is a child, that also rules out any kind of research that involves the destruction of human embryos. Occupy till I come (Luke 19:13b) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12) |
