This post is a response to todays fad about the Left-Behind series books, movies, and now, yes video game. I am not going to open this for a debate in whether you believe in the pre-tribulational rapture or not. If you want to argue that point, please go here:

There is a problem with the humanistic christian movement today, aside from being completely selfish. Actually what I am going to post about here is part of that selfishness. In fact, that selfishness will cause many to be eternally damned.
If you have read, read about, or even heard about the "Left Behind" series of books/movies, you more than likely know what they are about. They basically spell out a group of people and their lives/experiences after the occurence of the pre-tribulational rapture. Of course, they are all saved(so they claim in the book) and make a description of their experiences and outline of the entire tribulational period of the 70th week of Daniel.
It's all very interesting if you can ignore the fact that each person just happens to be an expert in his/her field, giving them the ability to continually fool the engagements of the "GC" (global community) soldiers. Not only this, but they fortunately have an unlimited amount of cash flow, finances, and resources for the group to overcome all of these odds at the granting of "God."
Yet there is one fundamental flaw that Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye(the authors fo the books) do not take into account. That flaw being that these people were alive before the rapture, and they were NOT saved.
What does the bible say about this?
We read:
2 Thess.
2:7
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (speaking of the Holy Spirit here on earth in the form of the body of believers, the Bride of Christ, when they are taken away, then the Holy Spirit will not reside on earth at that time)
2:8
And then shall that Wicked(the anti-christ) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:(Second Coming, beginning of Armageddon)
2:9
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11
And for this cause(those who did not come to know Christ before this event of the rapture in verse 7) God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12
That they all(describing everyone who remains after the rapture) might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The simple fact of the matter folks is that if you are not received unto the Lord in the clouds(yes, I firmly believe in the rapture), then you will be left behind, and have NO CHANCE for salvation, you will believe a lie! And yes, you will believe it, because God sends it.
Of course if Mr. Jenkins and LaHaye had taken this into consideration, then maybe their books cold have elicited a more genuine approach to a sobering thought by people who are not Christian, instead of making everyone feel that there will still be one more chance when they see the rapture occur.
But they won't believe it was the rapture......
Love in Christ,
Jim
