Brothers and Sisters I sincerely ask prayer for a wonderful situation in my life. I have not said anything to anyone here about it except for Brother Jim.

I am soon to be married to an absolutely wonderful woman who is such an amazing blessing to me and an answer to my prayers. All I can say is the Lord has given me the best thing that has ever happened to me outside of my Salvation. She is a pure Joy to me understanding that Joy is a part of the Fruit of the Spirit. It is God who provides the Joy through His Holy Spirit but in this case has used my fiance' to deliver that Joy to me.

I don't EVER recall when I have laughed so much in my entire life. She is such a blessing to me! My Pastor had told me that if the Lord wanted me to have a woman in my life He would send me one. This one sought me out. She makes me feel like a teen-ager again.

Would you please pray for our union? We do not have a set date at this time but it will be no later than May 3rd.

I am a little leery of posting this since the last prayer request I posted turned into a political debate that was not in any way connected to the prayer request.

Would you consider prayer for my health again? Two days ago I had to start taking medication for high blood pressure and a rapid heart rate that is caused by my cancer medication. So far the meds seem to be working well but I would appreciate prayer in that area.

Also next Thursday I am to get another set of CT scans. Please pray that I get good results on the scans. What I would like to see is confirmation that the tumors in my abdomen are actually necrotic as they appeared to be in the last scans and that the ones on my liver are at least stable if not reduced in size or even dead as the ones in the abdomen appear to be.

Thank you for your consideration. I covet your prayers.

2009 Annual Report

The earthquake in Haiti once again should remind us of how fragile life is. How quickly life can end. Because of your support we were able to send some materials into Haiti in September before the earthquake hit. Did any of these materials reach those who were killed in the quakes? We do not know but we can be sure that God is not willing that any should perish but the all should come to repentance II Peter 3:9. My prayer for 2010 is the Christians will see the need and importance of doing whatever they can to spread the Gospel around the world. We do not know when the next big tragedy will strike but we do know that every day an estimated 150,000 people die. What are we doing to assure heaven will be their home.

We did see a decrease in donations this year but praise the Lord for what he allowed us to accomplish for his glory.

Totals for 2009 were: 1,318 Bibles, 26 New Testaments, 122,808 Tracts, 578 Books, 78 DVDS, 115 Bible Studies, and 240 Scripture Books.
.
Bible Senders Ministry to date: 13,163 Bibles, 1,895 New Testaments, 79,162 Scripture Books, 1,184,698 Tracts, 3,315 Bible Studies, over 514 Christian Films, over 4,159 Books and 386 Hymnals.

Here are a few letters we received this year.

I truly appreciate the lovely Bible you sent to me. I am also loving the books and tracts!! I am showing these to my children to help explain more about the Lord and His plan to redeem us. The other items in the box were a pleasant surprise!! Thank you, thank you! D. Rankin USA

Thank you for your last e-mail and your upcoming shipment of much-needed Bibles. If possible, please do include some used Study Bibles with Giant Print as well as books by Bro. Mark Cahill which we have found to be very useful in our soul-winning efforts. Thank you dear brethren for whatever you can send. Evangelist Rodelio D. Mallari Philippines

Dear Ryan,

I write to thank you for the gifts of bibles that you have sent us. I have distributed them to pastors who had only new testaments. There are over 200 pastors and church leaders who have not full bibles. There is a big problem here in Malawi, we are praying that God will provide old and new testament to the pastors.

We are sending you these pictures to see the faces of pastors receiving, there are many pastors who when they receive books they sell them. We are not type of those pastors,I have shared them to my fellow pastors.

Looking forward to hear from you. Pastor Duncan Nyozani
We are currently raising the money to print the Burmese tract and have it shipped to a faithful brother in Myanmar who translated the tract for us.

Prayer requests.
Donations to allow us to fill the requests we have for bibles and literature
Donations to allow us to print our In 100 year tract in many languages
We need translators to translate our tract
God wisdom in producing future tracts.
We need a webmaster. Someone who could donate their time and allow us to update and make out sites more user friendly and allow us to better reach the lost.
Large print bibles. We have many requests for large print for the many older people who have poor vision
Please continue to pray for the many requests we have for scripture.
The middle of last week I was appointed as a Legislative Ambassador for the California District of the American Cancer Society. It is both an honor and rather humbling. I anticipate being very active in the position. My main function will be to keep in contact with elected officials from the local Mayor on up to the Congress of the United States about issues concerning cancer.

I am also now the Advocacy Chair for the Santa Maria Relay For Life. IN fact I have two meetings to attend next week already in that capacity.

Brothers and Sisters, First Baptist Church of Santa Maria needs your prayers.

Yesterday morning the goals of the Church for the coming year were disclosed and discussed. One of the goals, and it is something that has been needed in this area for a long time, is the founding of Pacific Coast Bible Institute. This will be a precursor and a lead-in to the establishment of a Bible College in the future.

One of the goals of the Institute will be to reach out to the Mexican community. Santa Maria is composed of about 60% Mexicans. (No, they are not Mexican-Americans, they are Mexicans and a lot of them illegal.) There are a tremendous number of they who have no knowledge of the English language at all. It is our intent to use the Bible to teach them to read and speak English. We are very blessed to have a lady on staff in our Christian School who has a doctorate degree in English.

We have many more goals on line for this year. We need to be immersed in prayer.

We are doing something at our Church that I do not know has been attempted previously. We are putting on a live Nativity.

At First Baptist we have 25 acres which is much deeper than it is wide. There is a road that runs all the way through it from one arterial street to another. We have almost completed reconstructing the village of Bethlehem in the back part of the property which is undeveloped.

The buildings are of course constructed of wood because they are temporary. However the sides of the buildings have been painted to look like the typical brick of the Nativity time and also have had mortar lines painted on. We have animal pens and will have sheep, goats, cattle and perhaps other animals. Of course there are lots of people involved in the presentation also.

A lot of what is back there has been donated. The wood was all donated. We have a man who is loaning us 25 sheep and will deliver them and pick them up. Of course all of the labor has been done by the Church members.

People will drive up to our main entrance. When they arrive each will be given a cup of hot chocolate and also a CD which explains the birth of Christ and the plan of Salvation. People will then drive over the paved part of the road to the back property where the road turns to dirt and gravel. It is there the live Nativity has been built. When they have completed the journey they will exit the back property onto another arterial street.

It is amazing to see what has taken place on our back property! You all can help us through prayer. Pray that the Lord will give us good weather during the four nights we are putting it on. (It has been raining and quite cold lately.) Pray also that the unsaved who attend may be led to Christ through our efforts on His behalf.

I am really looking forward to this.

Brethren and Sisters,

I would like to ask each of you to pray, as you find opportunity, that the Lord's blessing and guidance would be on my wife and I as I start a new Pastorate. We are moving from a small, but very solid and sound, church of 15 to 20 in attendance to a much larger church averaging 100+ Sunday morning attendance and good support for Sunday night service and Wednesday bible study. I have been friends with many of the members of this church for years. This church is very sound in doctrine and practice and I want that to continue. Their former pastor of 19 years is a great man of God and it is an honor to follow him. I know the accuser of the brethren, Satan, is not happy with this move as it is in the will of God. But I pray that I will continue to walk humbly with the Lord and yet carry his Word to the pulpit with boldness and love.

Also, please help me pray for the church we have been led to leave, that the Lord will send his man for them. I know the Lord is working on both ends of this, as he always does. I have preached there for around 18 years, so it was not easy to leave. But I know the Lord gave us peace about it and we trust him with the rest.

I will begin at the new church November 1.

Thanks to all, and God bless each of you.

Praise the LORD, my son in Iraq passed his PT test! I can't say it better than his and his wife's emails, so here they are:

From Roy:

Quote:With a lot of prayer, a lot of sweat, and quite a few tears, God
pushed me over the finish line today!!!

My knee buckled passing someone on the last quarter mile and it hurts
a good bit, but right now it is numb thanks to a huge load of
adrenalin and the only real true anesthetic :-)

I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITH AND YOUR PRAYERS!!!!

SERGEANT KEYES, HERE I COME!!!!

From Angel:

Quote:THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! PRAISE THE GOOD LORD FOR ANSWERED PRAYERS AND FOR AMAZING PEOPLE PRAYING FOR HIM!!!!

For most of you, you know Roy's biggest struggle with his PT test was his run. With bad legs, ankles and feet it's been a hardship for him...but not only did he pass his test today, and passed his run, he passed with amazing numbers. HE PASSED HIS RUN WITH 1 MIN AND 7 SECS LEFT ON THE CLOCK!!!!!!! He did 40 push ups and 50 sit ups (those numbers are usually higher but he was saving his energy for the run, he did what he needed to do to pass those) and because of those numbers he passed at a whole age level younger then his requirements.

GOD IS SO GOOD, ROY FELT GOD WITH HIM AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE OF YOU WHO PRAYED!!!

Roy says SARGENT HERE I COME!!! next step is getting him home!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN....LETS CELEBRATE GOD'S STRENGTH IN ROY!!!

ANGEL

I also appreciate all of those who have prayed for Roy. For those who do not know the details, Roy was hindered from gaining rank and threatened with loss of rank because he could not complete the 2-mile run in the required time. He has several physical limitations that have slowed him down every time he tried.

Brothers and Sisters would you please pray for my mother? She is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow morning at 10:00 Pacific time. They are going to remove a section of her small intestine. Apparently the intestine has been rubbing up against her bladder and it wore a hole of holes in the intestine.

Mom is 91 years old and still quite independent. She still drives herself everywhere and has a large yard that she loves to take care of. In fact when I was so sick a while back she was taking care of me as well as her own house.

Brothers and Sisters once again I ask prayer support for me. Tomorrow at 10:00 I am scheduled for another round of CT scans. As many of you know I am highly allergic to the contrast fluid they put in by IV to light up my insides. I do pre-medicate to avoid any reactions but I do appreciate the prayer support.

Please consider also praying for a good report from the scans. The best report as far as I am concerned would be that the tumors are shrinking. However if it comes back and shows the tumors are stable and have not progressed that would be a great blessing also.

Brothers and Sisters I come before you this morning humbly seeking favor. On October 15th we are having a day of Revival Prayer at our Church. We would really appreciate others sharing in our burden for the people of First Baptist Church of Santa Maria,

The evangelist who is staying with us has said he would like to have at least 1000 people from all across the world to join with us on that day. If you will commit to pray at least once on that day would you kindly respond to this message and let me know. We want to keep track of the number of souls we are burdened for us.

Please understand it is no t about the numbers. It is about the support of Christian Brethren which is so important to our lives.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and your prayers.

We are experiencing something at our Church which I am really enjoying while at the same time learning a lot. We are working up to a week of Revival meetings in the 3rd week of this month. In the meantime we have an evangelist who is staying with us for 5 weeks. I have not ever heard of such a thing previously but it is truly a blessing.

One of the greatest blessings is that it provides the opportunity to go to Church almost every night of the week. On Tuesday evening we have Revival training. You may ask how that works? The evangelist is going over a lot of scripture that deals with Revival during those meetings. It is indeed enjoyable and edifying. We have a core group of about 20-25 people who regularly attend the meetings. Those of us who attend regularly are supposed to use the knowledge we gain to help others who may have questions or problems.

Then on Thursday night we have Prayer meeting. Last night was wonderful. The men in the group adjourned to our Pastor's office. We spent close to 45 minutes in the office speaking the burdens our our hearts to the Lord. The prayer was so intense it brought tears to a number of the men.

We also have a Prayer Partner mechanism in place. There are three men, including myself, in my group. I have been greatly blessed in having our Pastor as one of my prayer partners. After the meeting last night the three of us went into the auditorium for our own prayer meeting. The Pastor suggested we use our time together to pray for each other personally rather than the general prayer for revival we had already done.

We took on the spirit of transparency. We were completely honest and open with each other about the problems we face in our personal lives. This may sound silly to some but it was only last night that I discovered my Pastor is a human being. He is a man just like the rest of us. He has faults and problems just like the rest of us. Oh my heart is burdened for him.

Coming up starting the 10th of this month we are going to have a week of fasting and intense prayer. The last day is supposed to be a day of only water and juice. I feel rather guilty because due to my health I cannot do that. However I will do my best to stay with water, juices and fresh fruit.

Please pray for revival in our Church. Pastor says he feels the Church is ready to make a move. Pray that move takes place and that the Spirit of the Lord touch the hearts and minds of the Church people.

Brothers and Sisters I am about to leave for a memorial service for a lady I have known for about 40 years. She was a dear, sweet and godly lady. Her husband is the general contractor who was responsible for the building of our Church. Because they have been in the community for about 50 years and the fact he is a well-known contractor I am certain there will be unsaved there. Please pray that some will come to know Christ as their Saviour during the service.

Brothers and Sisters would you please consider prayer for two young female missionaries from our area? They are both in need of a lot of prayer.

One of them, Laura McLain only recently went into the field in South Africa. We found out from her missions board that day before yesterday someone or someones broke into her apartment in South Africa while she was home. They stole her computer, her money. some other things and her car. Her father is the Pastor of the Church I recently was attending. He and his wife are on their way to South Africa. The missions board strongly recommended they go to be with her during this time of trial. Praise God that apparently she was not injured in all of this.

The other young lady who is actually Laura's cousin, Erica McLain is having a miscarriage and was rushed to the hospital last night. Erica has married since being in the field in Brazil and unfortunately I do not know her married name.

These two young ladies are extremely dedicated to the work they do on behalf of the Lord. We know the trials they are going through are for a reason but right now the reason is difficult to understand.

Thank you for your prayers.
