Revival Meetings
This week we are having revival at our church. We are blessed to have it from Sunday to the following Sunday. Regular services on Sundays; Monday night two services; Tuesday-Friday we have 5 services a day, three in the morning and two at night; Saturday is just for the Guys.
We are doubly blessed because after the morning services they serve lunch and after the late night ones they serve a snack....its really a dinner.
I am interested in the ways ladies prepare for Revival meetings. I love them, my soul just seems to get that extra feed it needs. In fact, I am always sad when they end. Revival often brings extra work on ladies and men. So what are some of the ways you prepare for them. Do you have special tricks that make them more enjoyable for you?
here are a couple of the things I do.
1. I sign up right away for the nursery duty that way the head of the nursery isn't stressed and it's not hanging over my head that I need to get that done.
2. I still have to make dinners not for me and the kids but for my husband so I freeze 5 dinners that I can heat up and have ready for him.
3. I do my spring cleaning two weeks before the revival so that I can have all house work done before AM service.
4. Bed time is strictly enforced even for the 20 year old.
these are a few what do you all do?
Theresa

RE: Revival Meetings
As usual, I turned around my Martha and Mary. I should have mentioned that I first prepare my heart. I pray and ask God to open me to receive the preaching. Second I purpose that I will enjoy the week and not let myself be critical or cranky.
Sorry, Theresa
