RE: Ravi Zacharius
I appreciate your perspective brothers. Perhaps I am not communicating as clearly as I intended. Certainly no skeptic could ever refute my testimony or that of any other believer. In nearly all my discussions online I have referenced God's work in my own life and use Scripture. I have yet to speak to an atheist/agnostic in person or online that does not know I believe in God when I state I am a Christian.
But what to do when Richard Dawkins asserts those who believe in God are delusional and claims science proves it? Why not address his assertion with scientific evidence that proves his conclusions wrong and continue on to reference Scripture? There is evidence throughout the universe that the Creator exists from biology to geology and I see no reason not to point to God's creation when atheists claim science trumps God.

Nate, talk about providence. Since today is the 26th, I read through Proverbs 26. You kinda get your situation in vss. 4 & 5. When you read them, read Ryrie's note about it too.

Proverbs 26:4-5
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
Ryrie's note:
These verses are are complimentary rather than contradictory. Although it is unwise to argue with a fool on his level and to recognize his foolish suppositions, there are occasions when it is best to refute him soundly, lest his foolish opinions seem to be confirmed.

I would definitely classify Dawkins as a fool (cf. Psalm 14:1). There is a time and a place to give an answer and a time and a place to be silent. Did that help or am digging into a deeper hole?
