I came across your site today, did some reading & felt this was a good place to join. It seems like a group that doesn't believe in compromising, but standing firmly on God's word.

I became a Christian in my early teens, basically I grew up in an IFB church (and thought I was saved in VBS early childhood) until Christ showed me otherwise. There was that definite change that can't be mistaken!

I've been a member of SBC since my late teens....my husband grew up in an SBC church. I read the NIV until a yr or so ago, when an IFB pastor showed me the differences in the KJB and NIV. I can't understand why anyone would want to read any other version knowing what has been changed and deleted. The only Bible I'll teach from is the KJB (although as you know most SBC's accept other versions). Anyway, my husband feels the same way that I do, but because we're in a good church, he doesn't feel the need to change simply because of our KJO belief.

My husband & I married in our early 20's. Both of our children are now grown; we live in a medium sized community that has been steadily growing. I look forward to learning from your group.

Welcome aboard sister. It is a pleasure to have you with us. We do have some ladies here but they seem to mostly read rather than participate. If you go to the ladies area and post I am certain you will most likely get a response from someone.
