ChiFaithful,
Nowhere in the Bible does it state that the Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin. The Bible states that the Virign Mary referred to Christ as her Savior. If the Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin then that would mean that she would be divine and only God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are divine.

The virgin Mary is not a correct description of Mary. The biblical terminology is:
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:14
David
Job 19:25 But as for me I know that my Redeemer liveth, And at last he will stand up upon the earth:

Davo,
I am going to continue to state the Virgin Mary because I do not see anything unscriptural about stating the Virgin Mary. Lutherans, Anglicans, Episcopalians all state the Virgin Mary.

The term "virgin Mary" carries an implication along with it that she was ever a virgin till death.
This is simply not true, she had children with Joseph after Jesus was born.
Why use a term that is used to confuse people? She was a virgin when she conceived by the Holy Spirit, but not after.
Love in Christ,
Jim

Jim,
Martin Luther continued to believe that the Virgin Mary was ever virgin even after receiving Christ as his Personal Savior and Luther remained saved. The Anglican Church, Episcopal Church and the Lutheran Church all refer to the Virgin Mary as the Virgin Mary and those churches believe that the Virgin Mary was ever virgin.

Jim,
Well even if Luther disliked the Jews it has nothing to do with the fact that Luther was Born Again and saved because of having received Christ as his Personal Savior and thus if Luther had received Christ as his Personal Savior then Luther went to Heaven when he passed away.

The Immaculate Conception of Mary was introduced in 1854.
What would you have believed if you had been born a couple of hundred years before that?

Davo,
I do not believe in the Immaculate Conception that is I do not believe that the Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin. I believe that only Christ was conceived without original sin.

As James said "Is this a hoax?"
You say you don't believe in many of the Church of Rome's teachings.
You are therefore saying she is lying to you. So what are you doing there?

Davo,
I am remaining in the Catholic Church because I like the liturgical worship service that the Catholic Church has over the non liturgical worship services that the Fundamentalist and Evangelical Protestant Churches have and I like to go to Saturday Vigil Mass instead of Sunday Morning Mass in order to do other things on Sunday like laying around until going out to lunch and do some shopping. And anyway the church that someone who has received Christ as their Savior attends has no bearing on their salvation or gaining entrance into Heaven because after someone passes away Christ does not ask them why they did not belong to a Fundamentalist or Evangelical Protestant Church in addition to having received Him as their Personal Savior. It does not matter to Christ what church someone who has received Him as their Savior attends as long as the church believes that Christ is God and believes in the Holy Trinity.
