Howdy

I'm Jeff from Texas and I confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. I've been in and out of various churches much of my life including Baptist churches. I had a repentance experience about 1 1/2 years ago and have been on a spiritual roller coaster since then trying to figure out what's going on in the world and why Christianity has become so ineffectual in our contemporary times. Via various teachings and research I came to the understanding that the word of God is contained in the King James / Authorized Version of the Bible and people putting this Bible down and picking up a myriad of other Bibles is a huge cause of the current apostate condition of Christianity. I was unwilling to commit to being a Baptist as I could not reconcile all of the what seemed to me to be conditional salvation verses and thus, would have been considered an Arminian. However, it was the Fundamental Baptist preachers that were leading the fight for my Bible so I kept listening to Baptist preachin. I just couldn't commit because I didn't believe in once saved always saved. By the grace of God we found a local church and a pastor that shared my views on the Bible, church incorporation, entertainment and other key issues for me. I was expecting to have to compromise on the OSAS issue but he preached on a doctrine I never heard before known as Kingdom Accountability. This doctrine put all of the pieces together that were serving as stumbling blocks for me.

It has been message boards that have been a wonderful resource to me for learning a great deal in a short period of time. However, I had a falling out with a recent board that I was active and a moderator on. The leadership of the board were Calvinists and while we tried to work through it, it just wound up being too much of an unequal yoke. Which is what has led me her in search of a new message board home.

I've read through a few of the threads and this seems like a great place to be. I very much look forward to participating, reasoning together and getting to know you all. May God bless us all and keep us during these challenging yet exciting times.

Grace and peace to you all,

Jeff
