RE: Hi all!

So far I have not had to push anyone's wheelchairs. Very Happy

The elderly seniors around here have those neat little electric scooters to take them where they want to go. I am still between assignments but I know that better days are ahead of me!

Praise His Holy Name! Thankyou Jesus for your many blessings - a comfortable home, a clean soft bed and a pantry full of food! Thankyou for the many other blessings there that is not enough room to post it all here!

RE: Hi all!

I tell people I have a job but no work. I am trying to put the word out and drum up a little business. SO I keep on praying and in the meantime I am cleaning out my closets and sorting through 40+ years of family photos. I have to run now, but please know that I am praying for all of you like I know you have been praying for me.

RE: Hi all!

Amen! Continuing to pray. (Think about getting a "netbook"!)

Netbooks (also called mini notebooks or subnotebooks) are a rapidly evolving[1] category of small, light and inexpensive laptop computers suited for general computing and accessing web-based applications;

RE: Hi all!

I guess I don't have a netbook at this point in time - but I have my handy dandy steno notebook and an ink pen slid up through the wire binding. Does that count as a netbook?

What are we gonna do when the libs make us stop using plain old fashioned paper and pencils because it "destroys" the environment and kills all of those cottonwood trees? A whole industry is going to lose more jobs, from the tree farmers who plant the cotton wood trees and rotate their crops to keep the paper industry going full throttle, to the factory workers who labor to turn the paper pulp into notebooks and pencils for us to use, right on through the truck drivers who deliver the notebooks and pencils to the dollar stores.

RE: Hi all!

Not using plain old paper and pencil works great for me, for as soon as my writing gets cold no one including myself can read it.

One advantage to that was going through school the teacher did not know if I had the right answer or not, at times that worked in my favor.

RE: Hi all!

I think penmanship is a dying art. I learned how to write in cursive at the tender age of 6 years old when I was imprisioned at St. Joseph's Parochial School for a couple of years. Sister Esther taught us to write by smacking us across the nuckles with a ruler if we didn't make every curve and swirl just exactly right.

RE: Hi all!

Mine had lots of curves and swirls in it, and it still does. But all in the wrong places. No amount of cracked knuckles could fix them.

RE: Hi all!

Amen to that! I write myself notes and then the next day I can't figure o ut what they say. That is really bad when it comes to the grocery list!

RE: Hi all!

Grocery Lists are easy - make a good typed list on your computer of everything that you normally have in your kitchen - some computers even have these lists written out for you - then you print it out and make a check mark beside the things you need and cross them off when you go to the store.

The hardest part about shopping lists is to actually take the list with you!

RE: Hi all!

We don't usually make a list. We go in for the two M's (Milk ans Mushrooms) and come out with a trolley full.

RE: Hi all!

The trick is not to get a cart - then you can only buy what you can carry - makes life a lot easier! I do that when I go to Wal Mart and it works every time! Wink
