Here we go again!

I just returned from my oncologists office. According to the last CT scans I had last week I have four more small tumors in my abdomen. Thank God they do not appear to be attached to anything important.

The current game plan is to increase the medication I am currently taking. After three months I will get another set of CT scans. If the tumors have not grown or are actually smaller we will continue that regimen. If the tumors have actually grown we will switch to a new medication that is designed for people that appear to have become resistant to the one I am taking now.

If that medication does not serve to shrink the tumors the next step is more surgery. Oh well...

God certainly has been good to me through all this. I have a very rare form of cancer yet He has provided that I have lived a pretty good life for over 5 years. The only question is whether or not this stuff will actually take my life at some time. I want to go to heaven but not that way.

Your prayers are coveted.

In Christ,
George

RE: Here we go again!

So you're wanting to go to Heaven, but you're not dying to get there?

(grinning smiley face would go here except that is is to George so I will say...) I joking with you, Brother.

Just keep serving the LORD, and look to Him for your daily strength. He'll keep you here no longer than He needs you to be here. Remember that He is looking forward to receiving you into His arms for eternity. GLORY!

God's Grace be upon you, Brother!

We love you brother, we are always praying. How is the skin on the face doing? Healing well I pray?

Love in Christ,

Jim

Thank you brothers for your love and your prayers. My face is just about completely healed with the exception of three or four little spots.

I have been "missing in action" lately due to the increase in my levels of medication. What I take is an oral form of chemotherapy. I must take it every night. The oncologist has increased it to time and a half what I was taking. It is really causing me a lot of problems.

I have felt quite a bit better that past two days. I go back to see him in about two weeks. At that time he may send me back to my primary care physician so we can see if we can find something to combat the side effects.

In Christ,
George

So many verses can be quoted here; my favorite for our comfort through all trials is Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in HIM".
