False Prophet Isaiah Robertson

Niagara Falls prophesied as site of Second Coming

II Timothy 4:3-4

'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

'And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.'

Isaiah Robertson believes that the Second Coming of Christ will take place at Niagara Falls. He believes that the water at the base of the falls will turn into a lake of fire at that time. He states that the judgment seat of Christ will take place on the Three Sisters Islands. This is where the sheep, Christ's followers, will be separated from the unbelievers, or goats. He believes that all of this will take place in 2014 after the world has experienced Armageddon for three years. This will prepare the way for the Rapture when believers go with Christ into Heaven while unbelievers are left here for the seven years of Tribulation.

If Robertson would actually read his Bible then he would see how erroneous his claims truly are. We will take a look at each of his statements and compare them with Scripture to see how his interpretation stands.

1. The Second Coming.

According to Robertson the Second Coming of Christ is going to take place at Niagara Falls. However, when one looks through the pages of the Word of God there is no reference to the Americas at all let alone somewhere as specific as Niagara Falls. When we do look at passages concerning the location of the Second Coming we see in Zechariah 14:4 that Christ will return to the Mount of Olives from the precise location whence He left after His resurrection (Acts 1:9).

2. The Lake of Fire.

In Revelation 19 & 20 we see that upon Christ's Second Coming he will immediately cast the Beast and the False Prophet are cast alive into the lake of fire. Later on the devil, death, hell, and all unbelievers will join them in the lake of fire to burn for all eternity. While Scripture is not entirely clear as to the location of the lake of fire we can be sure that it will not be on this earth, or anywhere in this universe for that matter. We can deduce this from Revelation 21:1 where it tells us that this present world will pass away and God will create a new heaven and a new earth.

3. Judgment Seat of Christ.

Here, Robertson appears to be mixing up the Judgment Seat of Christ with the Great White Throne Judgment. Nowhere in Scripture where you will find that God judges believers along with unbelievers during the end times. After the Rapture all believers will have to appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ to give an account of how they lived their lives here on this earth whether in service to themselves or to Christ (II Corinthians 5:10). At this judgment there will be no unbelievers present. They will be going through the Tribulation period at this time.

The other judgment will be the Great White Throne Judgment as described in Revelation 20:11-15. This judgment takes place after the Millenial reign of Christ here on this earth. All unbelievers will have to stand before God and give an account of their lives of how they rejected Christ as their Saviour. Every one who stands before God at this judgment will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternity because of their sins and their rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

4. When the end times take place.

The Bible is very clear that no one other than God knows when the Rapture and the subsequent Second Coming will take place. In Matthew 24:36 Christ told His disciples that only God the Father knows when the day and hour of the Second Coming will come. There have been many date setters throughout history who "prophesied" when Christ would return. Each and every time, however, they have been proven to be false as this false prophet will be proven to be as well. Although the Bible does not tell us the exact date it does tell us what the world's condition will be at that time. Accoring to Matthew 24:37 those days will be just like the days of Noah. Whenever God has scheduled the Second Coming for we know that seven years before that day Christ's church will be raptured from this earth.

5. Armageddon.

Robertson claims that Armageddon will start in the year 2011 and will continue until Christ's supposed return in 2014. He teaches Armageddon as nothing more than a world war which starts in the Middle East, however, the Bible teaches us that Armageddon is much more than just another world war. During the Battle of Armageddon nations will not be fighting against other nations, but, rather, all nations will gather themselves together in order to fight against Christ and His army. The battle will be over before it can even start. Christ immediately casts the beast and false prophet into the lake of fire as we mentioned before and their army will be slain merely by the word of Christ. Instead of a war lasting three years it will be lucky to be a skirmish that lasts three minutes.

This false teacher is a prime example of someone who is relying on their own "wisdom" concerning the things of God instead of going to the Bible and what God has written there. Anytime someone begins to teach/preach things not found in the Bible then we need to mark them as false teachers and we need to warn other believers of their deception. Isaiah Robertson is one such false teacher. He has left the truths found in God's Word and instead has concocted his own ideas of what the end times entail.

Jeremiah 20:9b
'But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.'
