Thank you RobertM for joining us on Fundamental Preaching. I highlighted an area in your post. Amen!

George said:

(1Co 7:2Cool But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. (Emphasis mine)

Now why do you suppose it is that God caused the apostle Paul to include the statement that if a person remarries under the conditions specified in this chapter remarries they have not sinned if remarriage were prohibited? As has been shown before there is not one but two valid reasons for divorce. One of course is fornication (not specifically limited to adultery as has been so well pointed out here,) and abandonment.

Yes, there is the scripture again, Brother George. Amen.

That would be 1Co7:twenty-eight... lol

God bless,

Molly

RE: divorce/remarriage

Not all people are at the same place in their christian life. Some would burn up with desire and fall into worse sins to satisfy that desire. God gave instruction so that in our human weakness we would not get trapped into a den of iniquity. while we have the perfect word our bodies are not redeemed and Romans 7 tells of the battle we fight
