RE: Catholic Fundamentalism

I went to a Catholic Church yesterday and I saw people bowing to a statue of the Roman Goddess Venus which is what the Catholic Mary is. Don't get me wrong Mary was a faithful servant of God who trusted the Lord but she never asked people to bow down to her and pray to her. She was not sinless and she ain't the Queen of Heaven. The Roman Goddess Venus better fits the Catholic description of Mary than the Bible description of Mary. In fact Emperor Constantine when he made Roman Catholicism has the official religion he take over shrines dedicated to Venus and instead of destroying them he told people to pray to Mary instead. Same difference.

RE: Catholic Fundamentalism

It is way way worse than that chineseconservative!

Everytime a RCC says ther Rosary (at least once each day ) they pray to Mary ten times for every one time they pray to God! Surprised

Everytime a RCC passes a statue of Mary it is important to touch the foot of the statue and say a prayer to Mary. Surprised

RCC beleive that Mary was a perpetual virigin (I.e. Mary and Joseph never conssumated their marriage) - they also think Jesus was her only child - even though the scriptures say otherwise! Surprised

RCC believe that Mary was assumed into Heaven just like Jesus was taken up into Heaven and that she reigns there as the Queen of Heaven.

RCC beleive that Mary is a part of the UnHoly Trinity and that she is the Mother of God.

RCC beleive that everytime they see a blob of chocolate or a piece of toast or a stained roadway that looks like their version of Mary, then it is taken as a sign and a "miracle" - this includes statues that supposedly weep blood, etc.

I could go on and on and on - but I won't.

Praise God that I was rescued from that vile and pagan religion!

RE: Catholic Fundamentalism

Hello, chineseconservative. May I ask you why you were in a Catholic church, yesterday? I will put it another way. Are you seeking the truth--- or are you a faithful member of the RCC? It has me puzzled as to why you were in the RCC on the Lord's Day. Thank you in advance for your kind reply.

Revelation 22:5... And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever. "God Gives Light" King James Bible
